Personal Life- Jeffery wanted to become a Basket-ball star, but due to a knee injury, his dream couldn’t be realized. He has remained a graphic designer as well for a while. Nobody knows exactly about his married life but there are rumors that he had got married at young age. Now he remains the cause of gossip because of his Love affair with Weeds co-star Marie Luis Parker. They got engaged but later on had a break up in April 2008.
Career credits- he is most popular for his roles in supernatural as John Winchester, father of Dean and Sam. In Grey’s Anatomy as a patient Denny Duquette and in Weeds as Judah Botwin, the deceased husband of Nancy. He started his career with a movie ‘Uncaged’ in 1991. he worked in 14 feature films after that and in 2005- and 2006 he got work in Grey’s Anatomy and Supernatural, in popular roles.
Upcoming Projects- He has worked in a movie ‘Days of wrath’ is awaiting release. Besides this he is shooting for ‘Shanghai’. Three movies ‘Watchmen, All Good Things and Love and Other Possible Pursuits are in post production stage.
John’s Role in Supernatural- Jeffery is playing a father who raises his son to take revenge of killing of their mother from Azazel. After two years of her death he suddenly disappears, and both the sons find him on a weird land. His character got more highlighted in the end of season one and he filled up the show with his tremendous action.
