Personal Life- Katie belongs to a celebrity family so she was already familiar with the show biz. She is daughter of Pop Idol David Cassidy and former model, Sherry Benedon. Her grandparents were also actors, Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward. She has reportedly dated two Pop stars of former Boy band, Dream Street, Greg Raposo and Jesse Mc Cartney. It is said that the number Bleeding Love was written for Cassidy, by McCartney.
Career Credits- she started modeling for Abercrombie and Fitch and Rock, and it paved way for her in field of acting. At that time she was in elementary and her mother didn’t allow her to work professionally until she completes her high school. Then she got recurring and guest roles in the shows like 7th heaven, sex, Love and Secrets. Then in 2006, she got a role in remake of When a Stranger Calls. Later on she got a movie as well named Revenge of the Nerds, but the production was halted. Then she did a movie Taken. Finally, she reached her right destination Supernatural in the role of a wise demon Ruby, which gave her distinct identity among people. Now her role has ended up in the series. According to creators, she got expelled for financial reasons but as per media reports because of bad reviews about her role.
Upcoming Projects- she will now work in the movie remake of television series ‘Dallas’. The filming can be started anytime in this year. She will compete with Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson in this movie.
Ruby’s Role- she is playing the role of a nice demon who has sympathy for human beings and in fact she too wants to live like humans which is not possible. She reveals later in the first season to Sam that she is a demon. She helps Both Sam and Dean at many occasions with her demonian powers and amazing weapons. Her weapons have remained main attraction of the show, especially, her Dagger, which was later on stolen by Sam.
