Season one begins with Sam Winchester and his brother Dean in their childhood. Their mom was murdered on 11-2-1983 and their house was consumed by flames. A psychic, Missouri Moseley told John (Sam & Dean’s father) that some supernatural power is responsible for the death of his wife. John decides to find out and kill the thing that killed his wife and he also trains his sons to recognize and defend paranormal entities. At the young age, they both assist their father in his quest. But Sam leaved his father to live a normal life and attended Stanford University. Sam started living with his girlfriend, Jessica Moore in an apartment near the University campus. One day Sam learns that his father has been missed while on a Hunting Trip and he reluctantly decides to help Dean in the search. But John is yet to be found and Sam decided to go back in his life with Jessica. When he arrives back in his apartment, Jessica bursts in to flames just like as his mother. Dean rescues Sam from the burning apartment and they once again start the search for their father. At the end of the season, the demon tortures Dean but Sam shoots it in the leg with the Colt. Another demon plows into Dean’s impala, demolishes it and leaves three Winchesters helpless in the wreckage.

Season one’s opening episode ‘Pilot’ was aired on 9-13-2005 and the season finale ‘Devil’s Trap’ was aired on 5-4-2006.

Sam starts having nightmares about their old home so he and Dean return to Kansas. They discover that a new family has moved into their home and the woman is the same which Sam had seen in his dreams. Family is being threatened by malevolent entity. They enlist the help of their father’s psychic to rid the house of the angry poltergeist.
